Recover entire iPod Music.
So I use my iPod some times. Today I tried to play something from it and it appears totally empty. No songs, nothing.
When I connect it to my mac and looking in hidden files iPod Control/Music I can see all the files and I can play any of these. So everything seems to be still on the iPod only it can not access these. iTunes offers ”restore” but I am not sure what that will do. I do not keep my music on my mac. It is on external drive and I do not manage music with iTunes or any other app. Some time ago I loaded everything to that iPod with iTunes. But I do not have that library any longer(years pass fast). Iam sure this has been answered before and I am sorry to ask it again. Just reading about various recovery procedures confuses me at the moment. |

I got it solved.
At further investigation of the files on the iPod I found Floola pref stuff. After connecting it to Floola all is well again. It appeared that I did not use iTunes to put my music on it after all. But why it showed empty folders I have no clue. I charged the iPod probably off the mac some time ago. Maybe iTunes did something to it then. |

i had the same "bug" several times with my old original iPhone after syncing it with iTunes. Usually connecting to Mac and iTunes one more time solves it
