Works on my iPad3, don't like the app as much as the older version on my MBP

I have a similar problem on my iPod Touch whereas my Skype will hang and then crash. I am not sure whether this is not part of a wider memory problem since even after cold-resetting my iDevice the issue persists.

I forgot to post about my "fix", but the recent app update sorted it out for me.

Perhaps restore your device?

Confused. So one App Skype does not work? Did you try deleting Skype and re-downloading it?

I didn't, as I usually use Skype on my iMac, with a decent mic, etc.

That may well have worked too.

Well, as mentioned above, the recent update fixed it, so problem solved really.

Missed that part. So it was essentially replaced with the new version

Yeah.

One that I do not care for aesthetically, but you can't please everyone, eh?

Ah yes! I had forgotten that.

Now, when it fires up on my iPad, I am presented with a whole bunch of shite that I don't need. Yes, quite Microsoftesque, malheuresment.
