YouTube v. Safari
I'm running Mac Lion with the latest updates, including Safari 6.0.2, which came via Software Updater. Recently I've experienced problems with YouTube videos (some, not all) not playing. They work fine in my Opera browser, and in GetTube, a YouTube downloader I recently installed. Could there be a conflict between GetTube and Safari? Vimeos play just fine in Safari--only YouTubes are a problem.
Thanks and regards, Leonard |

Are you using Flash on your YouTube videos - or HTML5?
You can tell easily by right-clicking on the video window. |

The videos which do not respond are HTML5; those that run are Flash. Can I set it up to play both? I never had this problem until recently.

Just went into my Safari preferences and found under the Extensions tab software called AllMyTube--a Wondershare downloading tool which I thought I had removed. It is now uninstalled, and both video formats are playable.

Glad to hear you discovered (and fixed) the problem.
