Dreamweaver

I used Dreamweaver 3 to build my website. Now I'm moving to a new mac, I'm wondering if any of the older versions will run on the os 10 software.
I have seen this on ebay:
Dreamweaver 3/Fireworks 3 Studio(Power MacIntosh) Optimized for G4 is everything you need to design, build and manage professional Web sites.....any good?
and this:
POWER MACINTOSH - OPTIMIZED FOR G4.
Failing these, any other ideas? I'm too old in the tooth to start learning HTML and CSS sheets, I have too many other things on the go, I just need a decent website tool that uses wysiwyg and not just HTML code.
TIA

Geoff

First thing you need to do is get the version numbers correct. Dreamweaver 3 is a Macromedia program released in 1999. It will run on OS9 or in the Classic environment, which means PPC machines only up to 10.4 Tiger. This includes a G4.

Adobe Creative Suite 3 (which includes Dreamweaver) came out in 2007. It contains universal binaries and will run on either PPC or Intel machines.

You also say you are moving to a "new" Mac - New from Apple or new to you? New from the store will run OSX.7 Lion and later, and "optimized for G4" doesn't mean a thing.

In short, if you have a Mac made in the last six years, then this copy of Dreamworks will not run it.

It is always best to use software of a similar age to that of your OS. Ten years difference or more is asking for trouble.

That would be Contribute, from Adobe, for $200.00.
