screen capture via Shift-Cmd-4 with scroll?
I meant Shift-Cmd-4....
Hardly an Application, but here goes: My daughter needed some web page content for her homework yesterday, but without the associated ads and crap lining it on either side. So, I turned to Shift-Cmd-4. No dice. I couldn't get it to scroll, once I had initiated the select-grab function. Is there a way to scroll whilst using this function? Workaround? In the end, btw, I saved the pages required, opened and cropped in Preview, but it was inelegant and inconsistently sized. TIA!

I know this doesn't answer the scroll in screen capture question ( which i dont think is possible ) but -
If you want to capture a webpage without crud - use Reader in safari . You can highlight & scroll at the same time to copy content. Or - if you need to keep info - get Reader to send to an email, which will open the text in a new email in Mail ( again without crud ). If that option is not available - use command P ( print) - click on pdf button - save as pdf. Then copy/paste from that. Last edited by ricede; 11-06-2012 at 09:35 PM. |
