getting X display of a linux box on X enviroment on OS X

Has anybody got this to work?

What I want is do have the desktop of my linux box on screen on my OS X box. It can be done...but I'm stuck.

there are some linux-based how-to's (for example this one http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/doc...te-X-Apps.html), but I'm looking for someone who actually has got to work.

cheers

Well, I use this everyday at work to run the postgres admin of our database server on my laptop's screen.

All you have to do, is set your xhost file accordingly, or your X server will not allow the remote machine to display the window properly. There is not much more configuration to it. Of course oyu can secure the connection via ssh, there are numerous Howto on www.freebsd.org, which also apply to the most part to Mac os X
