Undelete trashed Mac OS X files?

Apparently, emptying files from trash in Mac OS X is equivalent to unix rm... therefore, there is NO WAY to undelete the files?

argghh! at least in OS 9, utilities were available to attempt this feat.

Is there any unix technology that can be applied here?

I can't think of any, but if anyone does, please post the reply in this thread in the 'System' forum so we don't have this scattered in multiple places. I'm closing this one.
