Answer the Phone via Mac
Hi there!
I would curious to know if anyone has heard of any software that would allow me to answer telephone (landline) calls through my mac (56k modem port), without any additional hardware? Cheers for all your help, Phil |

i dont believe the modems in current macs are voice modems...data only.
no links tho..maybe someone else has more info. |

I haven't been able to do this since my Centris 660av.

Yep, they had a DSP built-in that made the difference.

Hi, try http://hartmann-b.de/CoMa/CoMa_X.html
seems to be a good tool which also does faxing and voice mail. There is a list which shows what you can expect your mac modem to do without an additional usb modem. regards, da. |
