The first time I used iPhoto it asked me if I wanted to launch iPhoto everytime a camera is connected. I clicked Yes. How do I undo it? Anybody know?

I figured it out. Lauch Image Capture, and choose preferences.
Sorry to waste the server space.

It won't be a waste of space to the next person who has the same question.

Updated instructions for 2010, 10.6.2
I've searched for the solution to this a couple times, getting me each time to this forum post. Image Capture no longer has a preferences setting.
In 10.6.2 (possibly earlier versions of OS X), you now have to do this in iPhoto, click on iPhoto > Preferences, and in the "General" tab, change the selection for "Connecting camera opens" to "No application". (Makes slightly more sense that this preference is now in iPhoto, as that's the one that opens by default, but it still isn't very intuitive that the setting for expandable memory uses the setting for "connecting camera.") - RG> |
