Mail app nerfed

Hey all. 10.2.6. iMac G4 stand-alone, no network or firewall. Cable internet.

I was running an update for the new iChat and as that ended it wanted to restart, but I was also sending an e-mail via Mail. The conflict between sending the e-mail and restarting hung Mail, so I force quit it and restarted. Now, I can recieve mail, but get an error message that "The Outgoing Mail Server Failed to Deliver the Message. The Connection on Port 25 Timed Out." I checked all the setting, and even recreated the mail account, but no luck.

I sent an e-mail from the same account on another computer, and it worked fine.

Any thoughts on how to fix this? Thanks!

Same problem....

I have the same problem but have no idea what's going on. If you find out anything on your own, please let me know. Thanks!

If you are using a router you might reset it. This can create problems with mail.
