EyeTV - a dream come true?

... afraid not - a dream it remains. EyeTV wants to replace the venerable VCR! The promise is to be able to receive and record broadcast TV on your Mac. My personal tests lead me to opine: neat idea - falls down with buggy software. Tried the latest version of software (download) under Jaguar 10.2.6. Problems: does not remember all tuned channels, crashes while auto-recording, mixes up clips on replay, crashes when playing recorded clips. What could be worse than something that claims to replace the good old and doesn't even come close at 3 times the price!
Disclaimer: The above describes my personal experience - which does not mean that EyeTV is actually faulty - it might be just me!
