create your own...
Here's how i created my own bootable rescue cd using Boot CD 0.5.3 (http://www.charlessoft.com)
Boot CD creates a personalized read-write image that can be edited to your liking before burning to CD. What to include on the Rescue CD: System utilities: Apple System Profiler CPU Monitor Disk Copy Net info Manager Process Viewer Applications: Drive 10 DiskWarrior 3 Carbon Copy Cloner 2.1.6 The following items are automatically included when you install OSX: Console Disk Utility System Preferences Terminal When you login, your RAM disc will follow this path during startup: private/etc/RamDiskContents The location of root's user folder on the boot CD is: private/etc/RamDiskContents/private/var/root/library/Preferences If registration files are needed, copy them over onto your Rescue CD from your root library preferences. root/library/preferences/xxx.xxxxx.plist (ex. com.Alsoft.DiskWarrior.prefs) You may need to temporarily log on as root to copy these over. Once you create your Rescue CD, login to your computer using the following: Login: root Pass: bootcd |
