Does Apple's 'Mail' have a file attachment size limitation?
Does 'Mail' in OSX.2.5 have a file size limitation?
I am trying to attach a 5mb Photoshop file and it won't let me send it, I didn't have this problem in my (dare I say it) Winsoze days with Outlook Express. Even if I stuff it and reduce the file size to 3.7mb it still won't allow. I have a really fast Broadband connection and I am trying to send artwork to my repro house. For me to download a 20mb file off the net only takes me 2 minutes, so it is really frustrating that I can't email such a small file. I can't even send a 2.5mb file, it's silly. Any ideas? |

Are you sure this isn't a limitation applied by your isp? Have you tried using a different mail client?

Most broadband isp's toss you a bit of "free" web space along with your account, couldn't you ftp it up to the space, then direct your client to the spot via browser?

I agree with the 2 previous posters, it's your ISP. There's no file size limit on attachements in OS X.. at least I have users that continuously (despite my warnings) send 50mb+ files to each other from it.
