Please don't crosspost

Hi, all. I've noticed several threads being crossposted (duplicated) in multiple forums here the past few days. We're small enough that you don't really need to do that, and in fact it just dilutes the replies.

I'm deleting all but one copy of each thread as I find them.

Please don't crosspost!

Thank you,

The management...

You might want to make this one of the forum-wide announcements, or even put it on the posting page. Just a suggestion.

Wouldn't that be crossposting?

Very neat. Reminds me of the generalization "All generalizations are false".

When you register as a member, isn't a preset password emailed out to you? Is a set of forum rules included with that email?

any recommendation?

You could make use of Google's virtuosity by using its "site:" keyword to restrict your Google results to these forums.
E.g., google for: "kernel panic" site:forums.macosxhints.com

Oops! I found this just in time. Yeah, I was about to cross-post, just to get a reply more quickly. I guess that's why everyone does it...

Cheers,

Nobody reads those. In particular, the people who need to learn this won't read it.

Not sure we really need anymore posts to this thread.
It's purpose is pretty clear.
