Shared volumes unexpectedly disconnecting

For some reason lately - any volume I mount on my local lan will automatically disconnect itself after a certain period of inactivity. The console is showing this msg prior to disconnecting:

2002-03-25 07:26:56.920 loginwindow[390] Can't connect to pbs object "RulebookServer"

Mar 25 07:26:56 G4X check_afp[4326]: *** _NSAutoreleaseNoPool(): Object 0x63d00 of class NSCFDate autoreleased with no pool in place - just leaking

The 2nd one then just repeats about 25 times.

Anyone have any idea what these hieroglyphics mean?
