How to Remove a Device from iCloud
I used to own an iPhone 4G, and lost it.
Some kid found it and I don't suppose he'll want to return it. Nor do I care, except that I want to remove that device from my iCloud operation. When I just updated my new Macbook to Yosemite and engaged iCloud service, I noticed that lost device remained on iCloud's landscape. (I probably initialized iCloud on it back then). How do I remove it?? |

Apple has a Knowledge Base article on situations like this.
http://support.apple.com/kb/ph2702 If the new "owner" has the device powered on, follow the instructions in the section titled Remove an iOS Device You No Longer Have. If the device isn't on, follow the steps in the section for Remove an iOS Device or Mac on Which You Can’t Turn Off Find My iPhone. |

Use find my phone via the icloud website or on another device. Do a remote wipe of the lost device.
