iOS 8.1 and iPhone 5 - updating apps goes into endless loop
Hi everyone.
My wife has an iPhone 5 and recently updated to iOS 8.1. Since then, when she tries to update her apps, the update rotating circle symbol starts and just goes on and on. The updates never actually complete. If I connect the phone up to my computer, I can update the apps that way, but this is not the point. The fact is all was working well before 8.1, and now it's not. My son's iPad is on 8.0 and he has the same problem. Any help on these issue would be most appreciated. Many thanks in advance. |

Since you can do the update fine via the computer, it may be just a problem with your home Wifi network. Check that the phone can access the WiFi ok.

Hayne,
many thanks for that reply. The updates were attempted through my wife's telephone 3G connection. We don't have wi-fi in the house. Our internet connections are all wired. Mt wife has tried this at her work as well, and the result is the same. I have since discovered that many others are also having this problem. So I'm betting it's a "selective bug" in iOS 8. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6573753?tstart=0 Thanks again. |
