Want to copy HTML formatted text to clipboard to paste in browser
So here's my dilemma. I want to have an HTML formatted signature (read: with links) in Gmail. But I only use it for about 10% of my messages, so I don't want to use Gmail's signature feature.
What I want is an Applescript or Automator Workflow that copies some HTML formatted text (my signature) to the clipboard (and then pastes it in the active application). I use Alfred (or Quicksilver) for Mac and plan to create a hotkey for the script/workflow. Thanks very much for the help! OS X 10.7.5 Firefox 18 |

Have you considered text expander? It sounds like it would do exactly what you want. You could save your HTML signature as a snippet, then type the little command and it would put it in there.
