Changing Permissions/ Priviledges on an External Hard drive DENIED.

I've only had this hd for a week and now this. I just upgraded my OS to 10.7.4 from 10.5.8. I was just last night adding files to my external and pulling some off, no big deal. Today, I have no permission but 'Read Only', NOT COOL.

I need to be able to add and subtract files from it and I have no way to change permissions. Help?
