Mail Preview Pane Hide Multiple Messages?

Hi, like most people, I get multiple Spam messages. I select a bunch, then sometimes use the arrow down to select more as I scroll through them.

However, the new mail preview pane now tries to show all the messages stacked up on each other, with the top most being visible.

The problem, is that it slows things down CONSIDERABLY. Is there a way to disable the multiple message viewing?

Select "Classic View" in Preferences > Viewing. Some other things may change to as it was previously, too.

Ya, figured that one out, however, I do like the new layout, just trying to see if there might be a command line hack to get rid of the multi message thing...

I've got a six-year-old 2Ghz iMac, and it takes 3 seconds to display a mail item that's got 160 messages in the conversation.

Is your taking longer than this on better hardware? Try rebuilding the Mailbox.
