Installing OS X on PowerBook G4

First of all, I'd like to say, I'm sorry if this is the wrong section for this question, It looks like the correct place for something like this (OS X 10.5 Installation on Powerbook G4 12.1")

I've been told my item can handle 10.5 with some minor lagging issues, which to be honest, doesn't bother me much at all, however I've been told by 3 different people that you need a certain disc, and they've all given me different disc options -.-

So is this the correct disc I need? if not could someone direct me to the correct location.

Regards,
Liam

That looks like the disks that ship with a particular model of Mac (I think I see the end of "MacBook" on one of the disks, but the grey colour is another indicator).
You need to get the retail version of the disks - or get the disks that shipped with the exact model of Mac that you have.
The retail version of OS X 10.5 is usually more difficult to find on eBay and also more expensive.

I have installed 10.5 upgrade that I got with my MacBook pro 4.1 on Powerbook G4. This is not gray but with black X in space color. My Tiger disk was gray one from my iMac that worked on Powerbook G4 as well.
So your option may be to find Tiger and Leo upgrade cheaper. But if you do not want to hit and miss buy a retail Leo.

The one you've linked to is listed as a MacBook restore disk. So it won't work with a PowerBook.

Buy this one:

Upgrading to 10.5 (Leopard)?
Make sure you have enough RAM installed (go to the Apple menu/About this Mac)
Some 12-inch PowerBooks came with 256 MB originally - not enough for 10.5
Your 12-inch PBook has a single RAM memory slot, that can be upgraded to a single 1GB chip.
