Pages disappearing text panic!

I've been working on a large Pages document, and when I opened it again this morning, a big chunk of text had disappeared, and there was a white gap, like a Page Break (but not a Page Break, nor white selectable text, lest you ask).

It didn't survive in any of the Time Machine backups, either.

Weirdly, I could still see the text in the QuickLook Preview.

I fixed the problem by clicking the Outline button, at which point the text reappeared. I clicked the Outline button again to restore the Page View.

Scary moment over: but I thought I would post it here for posterity.
