Trackpad vs AWKB wake from sleep issue.
My new Mini will wake from sleep when I tap the Magic Trackpad (albeit it takes a while) whereas tapping the AWKB elicits no response whatsoever.
Ideas anyone?

To clarify, does AWKB mean Apple Wireless Keyboard?
Sorry, no ideas. I'm not a fan of the current Apple keyboards or mice, so I have little relevant experience with them. Trevor

Yes, Apple's web. I gave up on the magic mice as they are not terribly magic. Seen how many for sale on eBay??
The AWKBs are ok, but not great. I had one totalled by a minimal amount of moisture. Any suggestions for WKBs?

I have always used wired keyboards (my current is a Matias), so no suggestions for wireless keyboards based on experience, no. Personally, I'm looking at the Razer wired keyboards right now, I might buy one soon.
But if you don't care about backlit keys and like the slim design of the Apple Wireless Keyboard, then maybe I'd try typing and check the feel on a Logitech K750 Wireless Solar Keyboard. I think non-Bluetooth wireless peripherals work much better with fewer problems. If you like the backlit keys, I'm not sure what to recommend for a wireless keyboard, sorry. Trevor

Excellent, thanks trevor. The K750 is purely solar then? No problem keeping that charged around here!
Now I have to see if they sell these here.... All this sun and I haven't seen ANY solar power installations anywhere. Agree on the Bluetooth. I still have the issues with these KBs that I started a thread about some time ago, so taking a couple of the devices out of the loop wouldn't hurt..

I should mention that Logitech has several K750 for Mac models (they sell it in different colors), plus the versions which don't specify a computer type and have a Windows key. I'm not sure if Thailand is like the other parts of Asia that I've visited, where Mac peripherals were nonexistent, but it may be easy enough to find a K750 but hard to find a K750 for Mac.

Actually, Macs are big news here, even pre-iDevice times. That, however, doesn't mean that the hardware big guns supply for that sector. We still don't have the Logitech M600 mouse and that's been out a while now. I'll call Logitech in BKK and ask. Again, this doesn't mean I'll find one. When I was looking for a certain Samsung ext monitor, I called them, was given four retailers' details, of whom three no longer existed and the other never did monitors anyway. Called back and Mrs Samsung told me I was clean wrong! ^~^. I'll check out the razers too.

BUMP:
well trevor, I eventually got the K760, same as 750, but no numeric pad and I am so far delighted. Clearly time will tell if it behaves well. I can use it with up to 3 devices at the press of a button and no batts to worry about. The K760 appears to be a new addition to their line. It was $76 shipped here on eBay. Thanks again trevor!

You might try unpairing the keyboard and then pairing it again.

agentx suggested that in a different thread, but it didn't work.
I threw the awkb on the floor, hard, and it actually behaved for several days before going crazy again. I bought this K760 off eBay a week ago and after one day of use, I can highly recommend it. More than pleased and it's solar powered to boot.
