Arrow Upgrading from iTunes 4 to 10

All my years of iTunes work (ratings, comments, smart lists, etc) is on a pre-Intel Imac running 10.4.11 and using iTunes 4. It's time to make my Intel Mac (10.6.8) the main host for my music. I want to convert my iTunes 4 music folder and histories, ratings and number of times played (etc) to iTunes 10. iTunes 10 can't do the transition directly because iT4 is too old. Off the top of anyone's head, what iTunes version can/must I use to upgrade the iT4 to a version that iT10 can then read and import so that all my iT4 notes and data remain intact? I've tried several web ideas that have failed to even remember what's in a playlist so I guess I just need an intermediate iT version to leap-frog to iT10. Thanks in advance for any forthcoming wisdom and friendly jibes
