Missing dock web link icons (Onyx to blame)
Hi All...
I gave my MP Air a clean with Onyx... and now... all my weblinks that sit on my dock (They are the @ symbol on a spring) have no icon... so I have a whole load of space in my dock! If I hover over the link... its still there... and it works... but there is no icon... anyone know how to get them back? I have deleted the .plists... but no joy.. elp! |

It's actually an icon that's built in to the system (/System/Library/CoreServices/CoreTypes.bundle/Contents/Resources/GenericURLIcon.icns), so I'd be surprised if any of the Onyx procedures actually touched the file. Assuming the file is still present on your system, the first thing I'd try is just a restart. Yes, I realize there was likely a restart after Onyx ran, but it sounds like the Dock simply hasn't properly loaded this icon.

Onyx is an excellent tool to perform various tasks if you have some problems. If you don't have any problems, there is no need or reason to run it. Your Mac does not need "cleaning" regularly. |
