Extract some rar files from a set of rar files

I hope someone can help me with this.

I have searched for a way to extract, lets say the first three .rar files from a set of rar files, example: .rar, .r00, .r01, .r02, to view the contents to determine if I want to download the whole set. I can do this in windows, but not on my mac g5.

I hope that I didn't overlook this during my search. Any help will be appreciated.

Extract some rar files from a set of rar files

As far as I know this works for .avi files ONLY.
Use the first files in the set, example: .rar, roo, ro1. I right clicked the .rar file and chose stuffit expander to open. A progress window opens showing progress and states that its looking for the next rar file, DO NOT cancel. Look for the folder that was created, right click the avi file created and I chose the VLC player I installed, VLC asked me if I wanted to repair, I chose to repair ( might work with other players ). This allows me to view part of the video and decide if I want the entire set. After this checks ok I will go through the normal steps of extracting all files.

This was my first reply, I hope I haven't broken any rules, if so please delete and let me know, just trying to help.
