Help: Apple id and ichat

Hello every1,

I have installed IChat while updating imessages. But now i can not use my existing Apple ID with the IChat ?

I can use and still using my existing Apple ID (that is: ****@hotmail.com) on all other things like on ICloud, Itunes, FaceTime and MobileMe website. But i can not use this ID on ICHAT???? WHY ?

And even when i am trying to make new Apple ID (appleid.apple.com) with @mac.com and it gives me the error that "Email address is already verified for another Apple ID"

So please help me what should I do? how can I use existing apple ID (***@hotmail.com) on IChat? Otherwise How can i use my existing email address to create a new apple ID for IChat?
