Address Book accounts.
I have duplicate entries in AB on my SL 2006, 24"iMac. Many, in fact.
In Preferences>Accounts, I have iCloud and On my Mac. ICloud is delible, whereas On my Mac is not. How can I get rid of these duplicates? Thanks!

I'm going to assume delible means you don't need the iCloud contacts. You could do a couple of things, though I'd back up all Address Book data beforehand (or simply export all of them as a vCard). One option is to use Preferences > Accounts to remove iCloud. The other is Card > Look For Duplicates.

No, I do want the iCloud, but not the others. Find dupes found 2...

Okay, you can decide what to do with the duplicates. If you want, you can move the On My Mac contacts to iCloud (Select All then drag and drop) or delete them.

Hmmm, why didn't I think of that? Worked a treat - thanks!
That said, the iCloud sync seems to have stopped and it won't let me edit a card??

What makes you think the iCloud sync has stopped, and what do you mean that it won't let you edit? That last one might need some details. Admittedly, I'm wondering if it's a Snow Leopard issue since iCloud is a Lion feature.

Well, simply that I have a couple of new contacts on my MBA and iDevices that have not appeared on the SL iMac.
Editing contacts: When I select a contact and hit Cmd-L, I just get the "oh no you don't" system sound and Edit is greyed out in the menu bar. Ideas?

I'm definitely wondering if this is an issue tied to iCloud contacts being used under Snow Leopard. As a test, I'd copy a card back to the On My Mac section to see if you can edit it there.

I think it may well be.
I set up fruux, as per Novascotian's post in another thread and even that is not working! I have emailed their support...
