Macbook Pro won't recognize/sync with my iPhone
Everything is up to date; I reinstalled iTunes, and reset my iPhone and everything else I have read about so far. What do I do? I am using a Macbook Pro 10.7.3 and my iPhone 4 is 5.1. Thanks for helping.

Yes, I've tried all the troubleshooting through the apple website and it won't work.

You did not answer about the phone not showing up in the left Pane of Itunes vs. Syncing.
A quick test you could do is create a new user, log in as that user and try Itunes from that user. It will only take about 5 minutes. Do you have any other Iphone cables? Perhaps this one was stressed/damaged and no longer makes a connection. Monoprice.com happens to make some very good strong 6 foot Iphone cables for a little over $5. http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...seq=1&format=2 *Lastly when you ran through the Iphone 5.1 set up software did you agree to backup to the cloud, that will preclude syncing to your Mac, but should not prevent it from showing up in the left pane of Itunes.
