Rearrange iPhoto slideshow photos automaticaly

Hi,
I am trying to make a slideshow on iPhoto 9.2.3, the making part is no problem at all, however, the over of the photos is a problem. The photos are from an album and it is organized by "date", I would very much like the slideshow to be arranged in the same way, there are 140 photos in this album/slideshow and having to manually rearrange them to fit the correct order as it is in the album is something I am not looking forward to. When I click on the view menu the sort photos menu is darkened.
I might add that I get a different order of the photos each time I change some setting for example change the transition of the photos in the setting wheel of the slideshow.
