Apple Mail always searching for new messages

Hi guys,
Any idea why when i installed my Dreamhost email into Apple Mail it will be always, i mean 24 hrs a day searching for new messages. It didn't happened in my last computer. I did change the settings to manual email download for that account but it keeps the same.

I know is no major problem but certainly annoying and maybe bandwidth consuming as well.

Here is a picture (my email account is under the blue rectangle) but you get the idea.

Do you mean "set up my mail account", or actually "installed software"?

What is the interval set to in Mail > Preferences > General ?

1 - Indeed i meant, "Set up my email account (dreamhost) with Apple Mail"

2 - Check email each five minutes. Works right on the GMAIL account but it is always searching on the dreamhost account. BTW, both are IMAP servers.
