incorrect file sizes

i upgraded OS X to 10.6 and now any file that is less than 1MB in size only shows as 1MB in finder. It could be 10kb and it still shows as 1MB. It does it for files on my macbook pro and also on the server I use. any suggestions on how to fix this?

Somewhat but not completely related: Snow Leopard changes how file and drive sizes are calculated

Possibly related: File sizes not adding up in Snow Leopard
