garageband audio plugins not recognized
i have a huge collection of audio plug ins on my wifes mac in garageband.
i have copied the folder from her mac to my mac. i have moved this folder here---- Mac HD > Library > Audio > Plug-ins > Components. but garage band doesnt see them. my wifes mac is running on OSX 10.6.8 mine is 10.5.8 could this be the problem? any suggestions would be very welcome. |

Are you and your wife both running the same version of GarageBand?

Is your Mac a PPC Mac?
Is that why you have not upgraded to 10.6? Is it possible that your wife's Garageband plug-ins are for intel-only? |

we both have macbooks
not sure what intel is sorry also because of this problem only just found that we have different versions of OS X never thought about or needed to upgrade. |

Could just be some difference between 10.5 and 10.6 - or, you could try reinstalling Garageband on your MacBook.
