Lion Client - searching FTP servers from Finder does not work.

I was disappointed to find that under Lion client, I lost the ability to search mounted FTP servers via the Finder. It works without issue on 10.5 and 10.6.

I have verified this finding on 4 different Lion macs, one was new out of the box with only MS Office installed at the time. The issue is reproducible using other user accounts on the same macs.

As a workaround I am using the free "easy find".

I would appreciate any info on this behavior. It would appear, as you might agree from the reproducible symptoms on 4 Lion macs that this is expected behavior.

Please note that I have tried numerous FTP servers and local NAS storage to test against.
