Can I delete files in \Library\Updates?
In looking to free up space in my 64GB MacBook Air, I notice that there is over 3GB of files in \Library\Updates. They seem to be copies of previously installed updates. Can I safely delete these files to free up space?

Sure...
You can do anything you like, as long as you have a full backup that you can restore from - or a Time Machine backup would also be OK. |

Yes - Files in /Library/Updates (not \Library\Updates ) can be deleted after you have run Software Update. Do NOT delete the files in /Library/Receipts or Software Updatte will want to do it all again.
