Formatting MBPro for Lion AND Snow Leopard?
I'm about to reformat a MBPro drive: 2 partitions...one for lion, the other for Snow Leopard.
Can I/Should I do the partitions-creation using my Snow Leopard disk, then install Snow and Lion onto their respective partitions, or can the Lion installer do the partitioning properly for this purpose? thank you! a |

The Lion installer (or the Snow Leopard installer) does not 'do the partitioning', but you would use Disk Utility to create two partitions. What you then install on each partition is up to you.

You should be fine using Disk Utility from either OS. The Lion installer is going to do its thing when you run it, and that includes adding a third volume for the Recovery partition.
