auto correct in iPhone 4

Does anyone else have the problem with auto-correct changing correct words to other random correct words? For example, sometimes "do" will be changed to "so" / "sew" will be changed to "see" / "wed" will be changed to "we'd". I know with mis-spelled or new words you want to add, you can type them over and over in a note and eventually it will learn it, but how do I stop my phone from changing correct words on me?

Settings/General/Keyboard. Un-tick Auto-Correction should do what you want.
