PDF Options menu disappeared

Hi

I usually have a drop down menu called PDF OPTIONS that allows me to create pdfs by selecting print (and choosing the Adove PDF Printer). Usually the menu allows me to choose PDFX1A, smallest file size, standard etc. but it has dissapeared across all applications.

The investigation I have done online revealed that this problem has been encountered by many others and is not limited to certain OS versions or PDF versions. A reinstall doea not seem to be the solution either.

In the past when I have chosen to create pdfs with this method, when I click PRINT (after selecting my settings etc), it then gives me the option to select the saved name and location of the file. Currently I can select print, and put in all settings (except for the PDF options), but when I click Print - it automatically creates the file without asking for saved file name etc.

About the same time, I had a scratch disk issue (due to the size of the document I was making a pdf of) - I dont know if this is relevant though.

I am using OSX10.4.11, and Acrobat Professional 6. I usually create the pdfs from Macromedia Freehand MX, and Pages.

Regards
Marco
