Issues with SSDs, Virtual Memory and Hibernation on Mac OS X?

Since Mac OS X Snow Leopard doesnít yet have TRIM and most SSDs doesnít seem to do garbage collection and the effects of excessive writes can slow down a drive, is there a potential issue with Mac OS X using the SSD drive for VM and Hibernation?

I believe they donít use VM on any iOS devices. Is that because of the long term performance effects of using NAND for VM?

You might be interested in reading this article.

Skip to the end if you're just interested in their findings. Basically, OS X doesn't currently run TRIM and doesn't seem to need it.
