OSX freezes totally due to Motion

Hi,

Since I've installed Leopard on my MacPro, Motion makes OSX crash constantly.
It happens at very random actions. When I drag an object, when I scale an object, when I type something.
I've already re-installed Motion (after removing it with AppZapper), and when that didn't solve it, I re-installed the entire Final Cut Studio. But still it crashes.

Is it absolutely necessary to re-install Leopard? Not looking forward to it.

1) Please tell us in much more detail exactly what you mean by "makes OSX crash".

2) Launch the "Console" application (under /Applications/Utilities) and look for relevant error messages. Note that messages are labeled with the date & time so you can use that to locate the part of the log to look at. Copy & paste the relevant messages back here so we can see them.
Be sure to look at system.log as well as console.log (Use the "Logs" button (top-left) to see the various logs available - note that you will probably need to be an "admin" user to see the system.log)

If the log refers to a crash log, press the "Logs" button (top-left) and go into the ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter section to find that particular crash log. Copy & paste back here the last portion of that crash log - the part that gives details about the last crash (or preferably attach it as a plain text file, using the "Manage Attachments" button at the bottom when you reply).

I couldn't find anything motion related OR an error at the exact time (I noted them down) of the crash. Today it happened at 10:44AM and 2:44PM (do you see the pattern? don't think it has anything to do with it).

This is what happens:
I'm working in Motion (actions vary from dragging an object to applying a filter to working in the timeline) and suddenly everything freezes. Not only Motion, but every single frame, except for the mouse. Exposé doesn't work, the dock doesn't move, cmd-opt-esc doesn't work, etc. etc.

I'm not sure why QMaster is crashing, but if you don't actually use QMaster, try removing it from your system.
