Hi Mac buddies,
![]() Having just bought a G3 iBook on ebay (which came with 10.4 installed, but NO Installation DVDs), I set up the Airport card configurations and got it on-line. All good so far.. Then I went for an OS Upgrade download to 10.4.11. This installed fine but, when asked to accept an Airport upgrade, I foolishly did it and the internet connection was lost. It seems that the upgrade does not support the 64bit encryption that I have to use with the 1st generation AirPort Card in this iBook and my old G3 Clamshell iBook. Although I have a set of OS X 10.4 DVDs that came with my iMac (bought at the end of 2007), they will not work in a G3 iBook. (It does have a DVD Drive) So I can't reinstall the basic 10.4 OS, and I don't really want to got back to 10.3.9, which is the OS running on the Clamshell. The 10.4 DVDs that I have are - 10.4.10, AHT version 3A127, Disc version 1.0, 2Z691-6022-A. Is there any way round this problem? Or do I have to search the Web for a compatible set? If so, what Product Code should be on the discs? Many thanks, in anticipation, bigmac1305
