TED automatic torrent loading app or something like it?

Being on the left side of the pond I don't get access to my favorite BBC shows. I use an RSS feed for EZTV to see when new shows come up but I have to manually add them to my torrent list.

TED is also an RSS reader, but it has the benefit of parsing the feed and auto-downloading the .torrent file, which is then auto-loads in Transmission. The problem with TED is that it's a direct port into OS X from Java on Windows, which means it uses too many resources even while idle.

Does anyone know of an AppleScript that will parse certain RSS feeds to grab torrents or a native Cocoa app that will do the same thing as TED?
