Does Macbook Pro CD 15' support Dual Layer DVD burning?
I want to burn a 6G dmg DVD disk and don't know whether my MBP CD 15' supports Dual Layer Burning or not? I can find no information from Apple.com.
It seems that my PC's DVD driver can burn the DL Disk, can the disk burned by pc be loaded in my MBP? Thanks for reading and answering! |

Yes it can.
You can verify this by going to Apple in the upper-right corner, choosing About This Mac and then selecting More Info... This will take you into the System Profiler, which can also be found by going to /Applications/Utilities. Click on Disc Burning under Hardware to see the supported formats. Also, the free program MacTracker will give you detailed info about every Apple product ever made. |

To Solipsism: Thank you very much for replying the post, however, i sadly found that my MBP "no longer support Dual-layer DVD+R media" and in the system profiler, i failed to see the "DL" listed in it. are you sure my MBP can burn dual-layer disc? and how about my plan B, can the disc burned by a PC driver be loaded on Mac? Thanks! |
