Photo mosaics / tiling on Mac OS X?

Thanks to a digital camera, 2 new kids, and iPhoto, I now have thousands of digital pictures. I was thinking a cool present for the grandparents would be a photomosaic of the grandkids made up of... hundreds more pictures of the grandkids.

There seem to be a dozen applications for Windows that do this, but for the Mac, I only came across Maczaic (a Classic application) and 2gether1, a program not available in the US for patent reasons.

Anyone have any other ideas, or do I break down and buy a Windows application (please, not that, no... )
