Frozen Menubar Widgets

Lately I've been getting a problem where all of my menubar widgets freeze. My clock stops updating (which is probably the most annoying problem), and I get the Pinwheel of Death if I mouseover any of the widgets, whether it's fast user switching or bluetooth or isync or whatever. A restart fixes the problem temporarily, but it usually comes back after a while.

The only thing I can think of, based on the system logs and the time at which the clock froze, is that I had just plugged in my iPod. The iTunes music sync and my contact and calendars sync from iSync worked fine.

The only other errors in the log were a bunch of prebinding errors relating to gpg (which gets run by Mail when I check signed messages).
