Massive issue with Office X with Enchange

I'm working with Macs running OS 10.3.9 and Office X attempting to get Entourage working with our MS Exchange 2003 server. For the most part everything seems to be working without troubles, however frequently and randomly while replying to an email, Entourage crashes and shuts down. The Crash Error Report gives the following: Exception: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (0x0001) Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE (0x0002) at 0x00000005. What I have noticed that might help pin-point the trouble:

- When configuring Entourage X for exchange it uses IMAP v/s Entourage 2004 uses EXCHANGE
- There are no trouble with the Macs that run Entourage 2004
- Macs that run OS X 10.4.6 with Entourage X run without troubles
- Macs that run OS X 10.3.9 with Entourage 2004 run without troubles

I have ran all Office X updates, that seemed to help because before it would crash every time you would send an email, now its random, yet frequent.
Obviously it has to do with IMAP just can't see where.
