Belkin F5D7050 Wireless G--Powering it on?

Greetings,

I recently bought a Belkin Wireless G F5D7050 (v 3000) USB adaptor for my Powerbook G4, which I bought in September 2003. I downloaded the appropriate drivers, and the adaptor worked fine for a few days. When I shut down my computer, though, and turned it back on, the adaptor's green light wouldn't come on. I tried just inserting it when the Mac is on and starting up with the adaptor in the USB port. System Profiler shows nothing connected to my USB ports. I see the en-1 connection in the Network preferences, but it is greyed out.

Is there any way I can force the adaptor to turn on? In Windows, one can go to the Device Manager and "enable" the adaptor, and it kicked right on. I'm not sure how to do this in OS X, and I've been a Mac user since the graphite iMac! Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Are you sure the adapter hasn't malfunctioned? You should test it with another computer.

Are you sure the drivers loaded/autolaunched ?

Check Belkins documentation, if the device itself works on another machine and your USB port works with other USB devices just fine, driver problems are the most probable cause of issues.
