stickies data file location

Does anybody know where Stickies keeps its data file? I've tried grepping through just about every folder on my disk and I can't find any text that matches what's on my notes.

It's a hidden file, located in ~/Library/.StickiesDatabase

Why it has to be hidden, I have no idea...
