Talkin' 'bout strange ****....
Hi
I'm new to Macs twenty years ps ('member TRS-80, CP/M...that stuff) I bought 1.6GHz Single, added pne gig SDRAM. Question: What they give you software when apparently it already had it. 'Course this was 'open box' 'corporate deal as mmner discount NAPP from PC/MAC MALL. Twilight Zone re-loaded?

I tried three times. I can't understand your post, much less make out a question.

Hi,
Y'know maybe that's what 'open box' means people take th unit home, something doesn't go exactly a anticipated and the 'old man' sez: "Well let's take back and get back. Mayb they loaded it. for some reason it didn't behave right, like I notice it has a very sensitive keyboard, and the took back, had tech support check it out and re-sold it! 'Cause I re-loaded and on of the progress indicator bars didn't filll ith blue. '

It seems like you are asking for help with a problem. But you aren't explaining what the problem is well enough for us to even get started. You need to use lots more words. Tell us exactly what you are doing, what you see, and what you expected to see. |

It might be wise to precede sarcasm with a quick check of the guy's bio....

OK, lemme take a stab at this.
It seems to me you're wondering why they provide CDs with software that's already installed onto the computer. This is the case with brand new computers as well as "open box" computers. I'd trust an open box product, *most* vendors will test and recondition the systems before reselling them. An open box product should have exterior blemishes at most. Product returns for weird behavior/bad hardware/etc are supposed to be returned to the manufacturer or thrown off cliffs...but should not sold as "open box". If you keyboard is behaving weird, or you notice any hardware problems at all you should take the system back. BTW, how is your keyboard too sensitive? Does it repeat the letters often? That setting can be changed in the System Preferences. HTH
