MATLAB in Mountain Lion
What do you have to do to install MATLAB 2012b in Mountain Lion? I instaled quartz (which I guess is the new version of X11), but when I download the installer from I just get a download_agent file. If I try to open it I get an error
"The document download_agent" could not be opened. Dashcode can not open files in the "data" format. |

According to this article
http://www.mathworks.com/support/sol...data/1-IXBVKD/ X11 is not required for MATLAB R2012b Maybe this page will help you - http://quantumtunnel.wordpress.com/2...n-without-x11/ Have you tried simply logging out of your user, then logging back in, or just restarting your Mac, then try the MATLAB installer again? |

Good...
What did MATLAB support at Mathworks tell you? Did you post your question at the MATLAB central? http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/ Did you check in your Console for any relevant messages? I _think_ that MATLAB needs Java, but I'm not sure. Mountain Lion does not have Java installed by default. Do you need to install that first? |
